To research and produce events within one or more sectors which not only contribute to the sharing of Science, Engineering and Technology knowledge amongst members and the wider engineering community but which are also commercially viable.
To provide detailed advice to employers and individuals on the requirements for Professional Registration for those without standard qualifications.
To be responsible for the development and administration of Further Learning policies, procedures and operations. To provide advice and guidance in support of Employer Professional Development & Registration schemes, insofar as this does not duplicate the role of the Accreditation team.
The Senior Accreditation Advisor organises the accreditation of 1000 academic programmes at over 90 Universities both in the UK and internationally. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a series of visits that deliver this programme with appropriately trained assessors and fit for purposes procedures. You will also be responsible for the decision making process and policy discussions that are facilitated through committee meetings, working parties and online forums. You will be liaising with senior engineers and using your powers of communication, negotiation and diplomacy to deliver complex and sometimes difficult information to Universities in a constructive manner. You will ensure that other accreditation staff are equipped with the tools and skills to support the service alongside you.
To provide expert understanding and analysis on a wide range of policy issues of interest to the IET, including preparing submissions, proactively engaging with key stakeholders, preparing reports for publication and supporting policy advisory groups on specialist topics
To work closely as part of a group to contribute to the continuous development of Technical Communities within the IET, including the engagement, retention and professional development of community members, and the development of suitable products and services to meet their needs.
Reporting to the Data Process Manager the post holder will drive the effective targeting, segmentation and analysis of all marketing campaigns. They will set the strategic framework for the way in which the organisation conducts its direct marketing activities.
