17th Edition workshop for BS 7671:2008

One day workshop to update from the 16th to the 17th Edition

The purpose of this workshop

This workshop has been created to highlight many of the significant changes from the 16th to the new 17th Edition, BS 7671:2008 that take effect from 1 July 2008.  It is aimed at:

1. those who require an overview of the changes but do not need a qualification;
2. those who require an upgrade course and want to prepare for City and Guilds 2382-20 who hold the following qualifications: 
   
   • City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2381), or;
   • City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07), or;
   • City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08), or;
   • City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) (from January 1 2004 onwards only).

• Overview of BS 7671: 2008 design principles;
• Summary of new material inclusions;
• Explanation of the many important technical changes;
• Information about guidance documents, courses and City & Guilds qualifications.

Delegates should be conversant with the structure, terminology and main technical requirements of the 16th Edition.

Required publications: Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (red version).  On-Site Guide BS 7671:2008 is recommended; 17th Edition version is out now.

Please be aware that you will require a copy of BS 7671:2008 (red cover) for this course and City and Guilds 2382 exam. Its full price is £65 but once you have booked on a course with the IET you are entitled to a 20 per cent discount taking the price to £52.
