The Data Centre Design Seminars are fully sponsored by the industry partner, Connectix Cabling Systems.

About this event

The continual growth in demand on IT infrastructure, and industries’ dependence on it, mean that it is increasingly important to have reliable and resilient IT data centres.

This seminar, updated for 2008, identifies and explains many of the factors that go into good data centre design. It will provide guidance on a number of important topics within an increasingly important industry sector, dealing with good practice in data centre design. The seminar is aimed at professional engineers in the mechanical and electrical trades who wish to better understand an holistic approach to the subject of data centre design.

The seminar has been developed for cabling engineers, electrical engineers, facilities and IT managers to give them a broad outline of all the disciplines involved in designing a data centre and allows them to reach a high level design stage that can then be responded to by professionals expert in their specific areas.

This seminar will be of interest to:

  • Mechanical Building Services Engineers
  • Electrical Building Services Engineers
  • Consulting & Technician Engineers
  • M & E Contracting Engineers
  • Facility Managers & Engineers
  • IT and Systems Engineers
This event is no longer available

Unfortunately all events are now fully subscribed.

For issues surrounding the topics on the seminar please visit the event sponsor Connectix website

Alternatively a previous seminar is available to view on the IET.TV website at  recording from April 18th 2007-
sessions 1, 2, 3 & 4 from Barry Elliott

Sorry that we can not fit you in at this time but we plan to continue with a new series of events in 2009 - details will be published in late Autumn 2008 so please watch the IET website for further updates.
