About this event
High-definition television has recently hit the consumer electronics shelves in the UK although few people understand what it is. This talk aims to outline the underlying technologies and describe some of the issues that will determine whether it will ever replace standard definition broadcast.
Daniel Woolley has played a key role in many digital TV developments including the original launch of digital terrestrial and satellite TV in the UK, the BBC's interactive TV services, Freeview and the BBC HD trial.
