Payment methods
Paying for your membership is quick and easy, there are five easy ways to pay.
- Direct Debit – apply online (https://www.theiet.org/my/directdebit/index.cfm ) or complete the membership payment form (download this on the right hand side). Please note you must have a UK bank account and pay in GBP
- Online - visit 'My IET' and follow the instructions on screen
- Call our credit card hotline on +44 (0) 1438 765678 open from Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 18:00 (GMT)
- One-off credit card payment - complete the membership payment form (download this on the right hand side).
- Pay by cheque or sterling bank draft made payable to ‘The Institution of Engineering and Technology’. Please write your membership number and Order ID on the reverse of the cheque or draft. Please send to: The Institution of Engineering and Technology, PO Box 40, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. SG1 2AY.
We now bill in the following currencies: GBP, US$, Euro, HK$, RMB and Indian Rupees which will appear on your renewal notice automatically.
For members in countries with currencies not listed above, we will continue to bill in GBP.
