Q: Why were the Bye-laws reviewed?
A: The Working Party which proposed the changes to the Bye-laws wished to increase the democracy, openness and accountability of the governance of the Institution. As well as reducing the number of members entitled to vote, it proposed that voting be restricted to members who have achieved a recognised standard of knowledge, understanding and experience.
