Information Technology Panel
Identifying policy issues applicable to the information technology sector and providing guidance to IET members, government and the public.
The IT Sector Panel identifies and advises on policy issues in the field of information technology. It provides expert input to IET submissions to government and parliament. It also provides guidance to the IET across all relevant professional activities including IET strategy formulation.
The panel's composition is drawn from senior members of the IET and influential representatives of the IT profession, drawn from the public, private and research sectors and covering ICT, security and computing.
It is one of eight sector panels established by the IET policy department.
The UKCRC (United Kingdom Computing Research Committee) reports to the IET IT Sector Panel and to the Engineering & Technology Forum of the BCS.
